Contrary to what it is commonly thought, flexible packaging is more friendly with the environment than other forms of packaging. Compared to boxes, bottles and cans, flexible packaging:

• Generates less pollution during its manufacturing and transportation.
  
  
• Uses only 25% of the energy required to manufacture or recycle cardboard, glass or aluminum packaging.
  
  
• Reduces the quantity of material to be recycled or incinerated.
  
  
• Saves space in land fills, because it only uses 4% of the space required by other forms of packaging.
  
  
• Can be recycled and used to manufacture products like: carpet fibers, packaging materials, sponges, garbage bags, etc.
